J. M. Lee studied theoretical linguistics, Japanese, and cinema at the University of Minnesota. Lee is a writing mentor for high school and college age writers, a teen workshop leader for the Hennepin County Library community, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, and a member of the SCBWI. Lee has had the honor of illustrating for Neil Gaiman’s Neverwear and has been published here and there.
